There's nothing like resonance to improve sound quality. It works in 2's but even better in 3's:
For this method of finding and recording voices where there shouldn't be any, we get the benefits of both 2's and 3's. The 2 is provided by a pair of resonating metal tubes. The 3 is provided by the pair of resonating tubes and a mediating oscillation from dripping water.
It's also a purely mechanical way of improving audio as it's recorded. So no electronics, computer software, or cell phones which might unknowingly be the source of what's heard.
